The Battle of TC Jester
Running along each side of the White Oak Bayou in Houston, Texas, lies the setting of what would be the scene of the most storied rivalry in the history of the Cosmopolitan Outlaw League – TC Jester Boulevard. Thomas C. Jester, originally a native of Alabama, would move to Houston sometime after 1800 and before 1950 where he would have a large impact on the community by way of his service on the Houston City Planning Commission and his ministry with the Baptist Temple in the Heights.
It is in a similar fashion that The Nosebleeds of the East side of TC Jester and the Electric Horsemen from the West side of TC Jester have been the leading authorities in the construction and evolution of the COL. As such, it seemed a natural fit for these two combatants to have the most intense season series year in and year out – a series that has come to be known as The Battle of TC Jester. The yearly winner takes home the coveted JW Memorial Trophy, a traveling trophy inscribed with the names of each team and the years they have taken home victory.
The Electric Horsemen lead the all time series 5-1, and also lay claim to the only season sweeps – the slaughters of 2015 and 2017.
